Latvenergo AS is the leading electricity and thermal energy production and trade company in Latvia and one of the largest companies in the Baltic power industry. Since 1 July 2007, when Latvia opened its electricity market, Latvenergo AS became the first major company in the Baltics to start trading electricity on the free market. Noteworthy, Latvia was the first country in the Baltics to open its electricity market; hence, specialists at Latvenergo AS were the first to master in practice the particulars of this aspect of trading.

• The e-latvenergo.lv self-service portal allows customers to easily pay for electricity, monitor their payment history and review agreement information, to apply for a new connection or change the capacity of an existing connection, as well as to receive other important information.
• The energy risk insurance service allows customers to have additional protection against unexpected interruptions of electricity supply.
• We provide green energy products and provide the Powered by Green certificate as proof that our customers are buying environmentally friendly electricity.
• Our Energy efficiency centre consults customers on energy savings, both individually and in the form of workshops on topical subjects.

Latvenergo AS has been actively involved in international trading and, depending on current situation, has been selling surplus and buying additional electricity. Trading with Estonia, Lithuania, Russia and Finland is ongoing and continues to develop. This leads to the conclusion that our extensive diversification of electricity sources guarantees uninterrupted supply of electricity to customers along with highly professional service.

Actively extending its territories of operation, since 2010 Latvenergo AS has been particularly successful in selling electricity to consumers in Lithuania and Estonia. During this time period, Latvenergo AS subsidiaries Latvenergo Prekyba UAB in Lithuania and Latvenergo Kaubandus OU in Estonia have been able to prove to customers that they are competent and competitive providers of high quality electricity trade products.
